G2G website which allowed to share files using Gmail account is closed upon request from Google.

Gmail Mobile

It is now possible to access your Gmail account from your mobile phone. Just enter http://m.gmail.com to sign in.

Vacation responder

Vacation responder is a new feature which sends an automated reply to incoming messages (Spam and mailing lists messages will not receive a vacation response).

Contact Groups

Contact Groups is new feature of Gmail. It makes easier to send one message to lots of people.

Gmail and maps

Today address recognition function has been enabled on my account. Gmail will automatically display Map this links with addresses found in your message (this is supported by Google Local which is currently available in a limited number of countries).

Web Clips for all

Every user of Gmail have Web Clips enabled. This feature will display headlines from subscribed RSS or ATOM feeds at the top of inbox and messages. Adding and removing feeds is possible in Settings>Web Clips tab.

Trash icon

Conversations moved to Trash have brand new trash icon (just in English (US) language version).

Google Talk ad

Just below Contacts link advertisement of Google Talk has appeared. Luckily we can make it disappear by clicking little close button.

View as HTML

Gmail allows to preview the attachment as HTML - list of supported file types: .pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt, .rtf, .sxw, .sxc, .sxi, .sdw, .sdc, .sdd, and .wml. To see the preview just click View as HTML link. This function is available only in English (US) language version.

Virus protection

Virus protection has been added to Gmail accounts. Every mail with an attachment will be automatically checked. If the virus is found system will try to remove it, if it fails then the attachment will be blocked.
